Element Time

I have to learn the Element song for science class and I'm having such a hard time memorizing them, help!?

I have no idea how to memorize all of the Elements! Do you have any idea of a good way to study them all? PLEASE HELP!

Memorizing things depends on repeating little chunks over and over till they become automatic. Look up the mp3 on the internet because singing this song can help you get it into your brain more easily than just saying it, but it is too long to learn all at once. Also, don't try at first to sing it as fast as the mp3, as it may be overwhelming because the recording is very fast!

Therefore, I would start with just the first line and repeat it a few times till you know it. Then and only then should you try to add another line. Repeat the next line by singing it a few times till you know that one and then see if you can do the first two lines together. Then go onto the third line, repeating it until you know it and then see if you can do all three lines together, etc till the end of the song. This method will reinforce what you have already learned and let you learn new parts a little at a time, which tends to work best. I know you don't have very long, but I wouldn't try to learn it all in one day if you can help it. Have fun with it since it is a silly song, and don't get discouraged if you have to go back and relearn pieces here and there. If you do it a little at a time, repeating sections over and over, pretty soon you will be singing this song all by yourself. Good Luck!
